Re:Framed exhibition Krowji creative hub 2 – 27 February 2026
ACJ Cornwall / Precious Collective

Selected works from members of ACJ Cornwall showcasing alternative materials in jewellery design.
I have created a site specific piece of jewellery work for this show. Using the graphic identities of the individual buildings on the Krowji site as a starting point, I have made a necklace from discarded plastics – the kids broken lunchboxes, fragments of car light and nurdles fused into a new sheet material.

I have recently been playing with the heritage craft of Passementerie. Inspired by the work of Elizabeth Ashdown and her contemporary revival of this endangered craft, individual pieces are woven together by single lengths of thread, representing the evolution and circularity of craft practices and their value within creative communities.

I have named the piece ‘Kapowji! What is it’s worth?’ Materials and colours have been selected as a personal reminder to myself and fellow creatives to have fun and be brave and bold in our work, but also as an invitation to visitors to consider where the value lies.

‘Tresor’ Jewellery exhibition Royal Cornwall Museum 24-26 October 2025
ACJ Cornwall

A new collection of work developed in response to the renovation and opening of the Mineral Gallery at Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro. Drawing inspiration from the mineral gallery, gold coins and my personal collection of historic items discovered along the coasts of Cornwall this new collection has been created using traditional metalsmithing in combination with transformed ‘rubbish’. Repeating the design using a selection of metals, each with thier own qualities, acknowledges the rich mining history of Cornwall and the local landscape.

Through exploration of materials, my work prompts the viewer to consider what is valuable. Is it the material, the craftsmanship, the connection to people and place, all of these or something else entirely?
